Infusion therapy involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. Typically, “infusion therapy” means that a drug is administered intravenously, but the term also may refer to situations where drugs are provided through other non-oral routes, such as intramuscular injections and epidural routes (into the membranes surrounding the spinal cord).
Will my insurance cover my infusion therapy?
Our office will call your insurance and verify the benefits and see if there is a copay on any of the services. 360 Infusion Center will call and notify you of any estimated charges before the start of your therapy.
What diseases are treated with infusion therapy?
Diseases commonly requiring infusion therapy include infections that are unresponsive to oral antibiotics, cancer and cancer-related pain, dehydration, gastrointestinal diseases or disorders which prevent normal functioning of the gastrointestinal system, as well as many other conditions. There are also many other specialty infusion therapies which may include IV/Ig, congestive heart failure, Crohn’s Disease, hemophilia, immune deficiencies, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and more.
Do I need a physician referral?
Yes, we require a referral from a physician for every patient.
How long is an infusion?
The duration of your particular infusion will depend upon your prescribed treatment. Your nurse will have more information regarding the amount of time required for your therapy.
Do you treat children?
We are able to perform a wide variety of treatments for children as well as adults, as prescribed by their physician. We will work closely with local pediatricians and specialists to be able to take care of their patients in a safe and comfortable way.
Can I bring someone with me?
You are welcome to bring someone with you for your treatment. We understand that sitting in one place for a long time can be tedious. You are more than welcome to bring someone with you to keep you company.
Will I have privacy while getting my infusion?
360 Infusion Center is proud to offer private patient rooms.
Will I be comfortable during my infusion?
Infusion therapy requires a lot of sitting. To keep you as comfortable as possible, we provide reclining chairs, blankets, and pillows. We also offer a variety of snacks and drinks during most infusions. We also offer television streaming services and Wi-Fi for your entertainment, with convenient outlets and charging ports.
What if I can’t afford my treatment?
Give us a call and we will work to find cost-savings opportunities, such as manufacturer assistance program or foundations to reduce your copay.
What else do I need to know?
You will need to provide your insurance information as well as your identification prior to services. You will also be asked to fill out new patient paperwork, available on our website. If you do not have internet or printer capabilities, you are able to pick up paperwork in person at our clinic. Because we are not you regular doctor, referrals are required for all services except for vitamin infusions.
What if I can’t come to 360 Infusion Center to get my treatment?
We can send out a third party to come to your house to give you your medication in the comfort of your home. Call us for more details.
